The ACE Collegium Campus "Upper Campus" also known as the"University of Imhotep" is located at 3500 East Meyer Blvd. in Kansas City, Missouri. The school phone is 816-418-1078. The 12th grade was added during the fall of 2010, completing Pre-K thru 12th Grade ACECC Articulation. The 2011-2012 Site Administrator for 7th and 8th grade is Mama Jimmie Bullard and the Instructional Coach is Mama Christina Richardson. The 2011-2012 Site Administrator for 9th – 12th grade is (Interim) Baba Melvin Franklin and the Instructional Coach is Mama Veneta Pearson.

Baba Melvin Franklin, a long time Kansas City educator, will serve as interim Site Administrator for the rest of the 2011-2012 School Year.  Baba Franklin has been in the field of education for 46 years.  He has 28 years combined experience as a principal and vice-principal and 7 years counseling experience.  Baba Franklin received his undergraduate degree from Prairie View A&M University in Texas and his Masters and Specialist degrees from Central Missouri State University.  We are fortunate to have him as part of the ACECC family.


 
7th and 8th grade scholars take many core classes usually taught at a later date including pre-algebra, biology, advanced study skills and composition. Exploratory blocks will include cultural arts, marching band, Afrikan drum line, Kiswahili, Spanish, and art. Grades 7th and 8th are housed on the lower level of the building.
 
9th grade scholars move into the College Prep Track. Core classes focus on chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, cultural arts and dual credit college courses in conjunction with "Penn Valley Community College." Exploratory tracks include sports, band, robotics, multi-media and Newsletter Club.
 
10th – 12th grade scholars continue in the College Prep mode and have the opportunity to graduate with up to 60 hours of college credit. The focus includes business and entrepreneur sections to encourage ACE scholars to help lead our nation in the 21st Century as well as providing insight to the college arena.
 


EARLY COLLEGE PROGRAM

The “Early College Component” is the result of a partnership with Penn Valley Community College as well as with professors from the University of Kansas. This year’s staff consists of Mama Scott who teaches Introduction to American National Politics and Baba Anderson and Dr. Rabbani with the University of Kansas whom teach Intellectual Preparation for Social Action Students in the college component. Scholars participating in the program graduate with up to 60 hours of college credit and an Associate Degree. Mama Yolanda Waldon is the Early College Program Director.
