Ujima Parents
The UJIMA Website is the parent connection to the activities designed to make each parent or guardian a partner in their scholars’ education.

Ujima was formerly known as the SAC (School Advisory Committee). One of the major goals of the Afrikan Centered Education Collegium Campus (ACECC) is to build and maintain a strong parent and community connection in the education of ACECC Scholars. Our motto, “It takes an entire village to raise a child”, is the basis of our Pre-K through 12 college preparatory articulation and the inspiration for our UJIIMA VOLUNTEERS!

The Ujima name was chosen for the parent group because the Nguzo Saba calls us to come together to build and maintain our communities and to carry our brothers and sisters problems, and to solve them together. Ujima is self- supported and works across the entire campus in conjunction with the KCMSD “District Advisory Committee” groups (DAC).

OUR COLLECTIVE WORKS & RESPONSIBILITY MOTTO:
"Kamba hukatika oabovu"
(A rope parts where it is thinnest!)
