January 2012:
The 6thgrade LEGO robotics team, ACE Robotic Scholars, has submitted their invention to the FLL® Global Innovation Award competition. We are asking the ACECC community to go online daily to vote. You may vote only once a day from the same IP address, so please click on “Vote Now” from the team’s page using the link below, and vote daily from as many different home or office computers as you can! Please note that some schools and office buildings use the same IP address for their computers, so once a person votes, others will be unable to vote from that same IP address for that day.

From the FLL® Global Innovation Website: The FIRST® LEGO® League Global Innovation Award is designed to encourage and assist FLL teams to further develop their innovative solutions to real-world problems. This year, the FLL Food Factor® season challenged kids around the world to solve a food safety problem. Any registered FLL team from around the world may enter their food safety invention to win the opportunity to take their idea to the next level. The winning team will be offered the opportunity to work with Edison Nation to professionally develop, produce, and take their invention to market.
Asante sana for supporting our team!

2011 - 2012 Science Fair Information
The Dr. John Henrik Clarke Grade 6 Village is located on the ACECC Campus at 6330 Swope Parkway. The phone number is 816-418-1293. The 2010-2011 Site Administrator is Mama Jimmie Bullard and the Instructional Coach is Mama Christina Richardson.
The main goal of the "Stand Alone" Grade 6 village is to prepare the scholars for the transition from elementary school to high school. Scholars make an easier transition from one teacher and one classroom to multiple teachers, and multiple classrooms.
Scholars begin their introduction to exploratory classes in Afrikan languages, sports, band, and art. In addition, the socialization focus helps to make the transition to the "Upper Campus" much easier.
